Total noob here. I used to race Rc10s about 20 years ago, but I'm just getting back in to the hobby and I have an issue.
I recently purchased a RC10 B4.1. RTR. The antenna for the transmitter came separate from the transmitter itself, and I don’t know how to hook up the antenna. There were no instructions regarding installing the antenna in to the transmitter. The transmitter manual shows the antenna already installed. Does the wire below the antenna just hang loose when the antenna is inserted in to the transmitter?
I tried running it today, and it only has a range of about 35 feet.
If anybody has any suggestions or tips I would really appreciate.

Thought some folks here might get a kick out of this...
I bought this close to 30 years ago (well, actually my parents bought it for me ;) ) at the same time as my first real R/C car, which was a Tamiya Sand Scorcher. I'm still using it today to...

If you refer to flysky GT3B , no problem here, it is a best value for money radio
Radio has memories for 10 cars and extra receivers are super cheap, so you can have a receiver in each car.
I would choose that, unless you have some kind of romantic...
The centering spring for the wheel on my transmitter let go this weekend. Trying to hold off on big purchases for a bit, so I thought I'd take a stab at opening this one and seeing if I can print what I need. Got all the screws out but it doesn't...

Fortunately my job still swaps out customer printers and had a bunch of old Dymos in the bin. From my printer design days I recall that Dymo likes to use worm gears and extension springs (super specific industry knowledge), so I took apart a few...

If you're looking into cheap-er radios, don't get the Futaba 3PRKA. I had one, the access panel to the trims is a huge pain, and for just a few bucks more you can get a way better radio. For reference, I have about 5 cars on the shelf that could use...
I have an old Traxxas model 2020 tx that needs a steering potentiometer. It turns correct to the right but turning left is weak and not to full lock. Does anyone know what I can replace the pot with? Id like to get it going again for a build I want...

If you are certain the pot is the problem, you can still find the 2210 wheel assembly for sale. There are a few on eBay right now.
Thanks for the link. Yes im sure its the pot, I tried another tx with the same setup and it all worked. The PO...
