MY NEW/OLD RC10 IS SO COOL! Thank you all for the info here

Post by Bulldog »

A coworker just got into 1/8 scale buggy and i traded some tires and buggy parts for this project. 2 rc10's, 1 truck conversion and 1 buggy. Out of both cars I made 1 almost perfect car. I found your forum and got a lot of tips and help from it. Thank you for the info!!!

Nice work ... looks great.

Now get a body on that thing before it catches a cold walkin' around nekkid!

What I want to see is "the best of what's left" ... show me the #2 car built from what you have left in the box ... which should be a lot if you started with parts from approximately 4 cars.

No just the 2 cars(1 buggy and 1 truck total). gonna have some parts to trade soon. both steering racks were cracked (I plastic welded 1 set for now) and i have no wing buttons or mount. the servo mounts are kind of messed up. gonna order a body and wing tomorrow. still have to finish wiring and check the resistor speed control (it seems to work according to my ohmmeter)

Wiring is complete and it all works!!! I've forgotten how glitchy am radios and manual speed controllers are since i've been in the age of 2.4 Ghz. What fun old school is now :D !!

body and wing on order.

only things not stock so far are.
used new style o rings in shock tops (have the stock ones but don't want shocks to leak).
had to use new ball cups on sway bar
and had to make new resistor mounts

Here's a couple of pics of the first body. Thinking on doing a box art body. Is it just me, or are the new protech bodies not quite wide enough for the tub? I scratched the paint the first time i put it on.
