XX4 wheels vs XX wheels
Can XX4/XXX4 front wheels be used on the front of a XX 2wd car? They look like they should. How far off is the front width of the car if they are used (assuming they fit).

I don't think they are a direct fit, xx4 fronts are a pin style adapter the same as the xx rears I believe (?)

yes the hex is the same on the 4wd rim as it is on the 2wd rim.... but the offset is probably way off

Re: XX4 wheels vs XX wheels
The reason I ask is because I have a set of RPM truck front arms. I am going to use the XX wheels and outer hub components with the pin holes drilled out to 1/8". With the stock XX axles, the front end width is too narrow. If I use the wide Trinity axles the XX wheels sit about right. I'm wondering if the XX4 wheels are wider on the outside so if I use the stock XX axles, will the added wheel width be about right? If the total outside width is the same as the 2WD wheel and all the added width is on the inside, then I can use the Trinity axles. The key will be in the wheels clearing everything and not rubbing against any suspension components. This is all for a one off JRX based project. I want max width on a 2WD car but with 4WD front wheel sizes.

Re: XX4 wheels vs XX wheels
The XX4 front rims are not that different as far as offset is concerned. They are wider tward the middle of the car. The only thing you should do is use a large washer on the xx4 rim because it has a larger hole for the mounting. -Jeff
