b4 wheels on b3

To keep things simple i decided to convert my B3 to run with B4 wheels so i can use the same tires on 3 of my runners (B4, B3, Team car). The procedure is pretty similar to b4 wheels on the rc10.

I used GT wide axles for the front

for the rear i used b4 hub carriers, same bearings, tube spacer ect... But had to use b4 cvd's NOT B44 rear cva's. The b44 cva's will not give enough clearance on the arm.

the wheel/shock clearance is great and the width is about right, i didn't measure it, just compared it do the B4

I also did a b4 slipper conversion while i was at it.

Nice work I've been wanting to try this for a while now

I'm curious if anyone has tried customworks CVDs in addition to what was mentioned here. They make them in a couple lengths for B3's, I wonder if the slightly "longer b3" CVD will help with this and the stock set-up of which the CVD falls close to the outer rim of the outdrive I think I'm going check them out and compare lengths *fingers crossed*
