New Built JRXT Dilema... Solved! (Pics)
New Built JRXT Dilema... Solved! (Pics)
I have a chance to pick up a new built JRXT, never run, all stock... But, i dont need it, nor would i want to keep it. Id rather have something I can run without worrying about its value diminishing. Anything new built, in my opinion, should be in the proper hands of collectors, not mine. I tend to take things apart and use them as spares. This XT is a little pricey, but I know I could make my money back if I wanted to. What to do?

Re: New Built JRXT Dilema...
Is the seller another collector/vintage enthusiast? If not then grab it and save it from potentially being ruined. I am sure you could always sell it on to a collector on here...to safe hands

You have to be careful , variations in models make values different. And regrettably most Losi cars regardless of there rareness don't hold or command much

Re: New Built JRXT Dilema...
here it is, the sale comes with with a lightly used gold tub RC10 and some parts. to me, this XT looks amazing, but the initial investment is a ball breaker. i have to make alot of sales today to consider buying it...

Re: New Built JRXT Dilema...
Ha ha nice one!
Its funny as I have sometimes brought a car just because it seems like one heck of a deal despite not really being into that particular model... yet on recieving it I find that an interest grows & you end up spending money on it to finish it off etc... this happened with my Yokomo YZ-10, it was a model I had always admired but did not really have a huge desire to own one, but once in my posession I just could help but want to find out everything about it & then the resto & spending of money started
BTW, NIB or new built vintage Losis can still command good money even if its not quite that of their Associated cousins....

Re: New Built JRXT Dilema...
Damn that JRX2 was nice, I would of been tempted had I seen that, although the wife would of killed me

When I first started racing there was a couple of guys there from the American base nearby, one of them had a JRX2, I remember seeing it and how nice it looked etc, but never thought any more of it, until recently, and the urge to own one (not least because its their first car) is growing! Help me!

Re: New Built JRXT Dilema...
ok, heres the breakdown of parts. post what you think as far as suggested prices, estimated of whats thats worth, before I say how much I spent...
1 MINT new built JRXT with decent painted body. Im hoping for a manual and box, but I doubt it. the body will go on one of my runners, repainted from the outside, now that my XT decal sets are complete... hint hint
1 "lightly used" RC10 gold tub, 2nd gen i think, maybe Worlds?... longer front arms, disc wheels with the 3 hold bolt pattern, ball bearing steering aluminum cranks, Technacraft rods, Dubro ends, factory stock motor, Novak 610, Airtronics VT2P, TRC road sponge wheels and tires, extra box of wheels and tires, kydex oval front bumper, small dent in the front end piece, painted body, no wing.
Im happy with the price, after negotiations of course. it just sux that I did the same thing 2 weeks ago to get a Blizzard, dolt!
(btw, look for an upcoming Blizzard / Howes Riptide project, muah ha ha)

Heres some pics of the new built JRXT, kinda wish I could have built it myself. Its sweet!!! I restored the poorly trimmed painted body, and detailed it with a decal scheme based off the 1990 July cover of RC Car Action. The blue body is from my 8t Reedy KR powered, mid motor JRXT, with LXT arms and NXT shock towers. Enjoy the pics
