Ok so lets talk about the Losi XX cars ??
Ok so lets talk about the Losi XX cars, I know a lot about the jrx cars, but I have never paid to much attention to the XX series of cars. I know they had the xx, xxcr, and xxbk but what box did the cr come in? I dont think I have ever seen a box with CR on it. how many different boxes were their? here are the two I have. post up some picks.

I think thats it, there was only three 'real' editions. The XX, the XX-CR and then finally the Kinwald edition.
There were variations of the first I believe, like the XXT, with bushings instead of bearings etc...although the UK never had these, we only had the bearing/hyrdra drive option.
Oh, and I could talk XX cars forever....

I have never seen that xx-cr box before. thats cool. I always wundered why everyone had 5 spoke losi wheels, but they never were released on a kit.

Re: Ok so lets talk about the Losi XX cars ??
I got introduced into the world of Losi with the XX. At this time I had never seen a Losi before and had no idea of their vintage time line so had a lot of learning to do. It took me ages to work out all the different models, what car I had and where the XX series fitted in.
I now have quite a few XX/Ts kicking around. Still haven't had time to setup and run one though

I remember my LXT was the same way. I found a little tap of the brakes entering the corner helped kick the rear around and then I would punch it coming out.

My XX lot came in this box:
See?
Great buggy, I still have the junker in the middle to fix up, although the runner on the right has now gone to greener pastures. Was a great buggy, that's for sure. For a Losi.

I bought my XX CR brand new in 1996, came in the same box pictured above by Jirka. I still have the box in pretty good condition.

The 30 deg steering blocks in your SE ( and maybe setup ) have a bunch to do with it too, the CR ( I think ) was really only different because of where the rear toe in angle was placed ( ie rear hubs vs rear arm mounts and hubs ) but I might be wrong- Also, I know that the XX was released in 94, nut they ran them actively as the Losi Flagship until um, 2000- I kinda have a problem with that being vintage, IDK maybe it's grey area?bearrickster wrote:Me to but I saw how they prefromed at the Vonats and I must say they impressed me. they seem to hold the track well and they turned good, my prose did not turn very well it was a very tight track. their was not much room to move around and the lanes were under 8 foot wide. my se needed 10

Re: Ok so lets talk about the Losi XX cars ??
the steering blocks were 25 deg on the stock se arm so it was way to much. I put it all back stock now I just need to find some more HPI Yellow wheels. the only reason for all of this was to run the same wheel on it. and these are close enough to stock I can still run the xx wheel in the backCharlie don't surf wrote: The 30 deg steering blocks in your SE ( and maybe setup ) have a bunch to do with it too, the CR ( I think ) was really only different because of where the rear toe in angle was placed ( ie rear hubs vs rear arm mounts and hubs ) but I might be wrong- Also, I know that the XX was released in 94, nut they ran them actively as the Losi Flagship until um, 2000- I kinda have a problem with that being vintage, IDK maybe it's grey area?
