OK, I know what you are going to say ('its not graphite , etc, etc').....but I'd like to make some shock towers like oem associated, composite craft, etc, so I don't want carbon fiber 'weave', but what they called 'graphite', even though it's carbon...

Yep I can get you anything your Carbon Fiber heart desires, or REAL graphite if you prefer :wink:
And the finish that you are talking about is called Unidirectional finish, the checkerboard is 3k plainweave. Drop me a PM when you get a chance...

Did a search but there is too many post with the word nylon in it..
I am looking to fab up a set of a-arms for my hotshot. I need to buy some nylon sheet. Does anyone know what type of nylon I need )6/6 ect)? How about a good (cheap) source for it...

try mcmaster carr. either nylon (6/6 is common) or delrin (acetal). probably 1/4 thick or 3/8 thick will be sufficient.

very local to Philly area. Warehouse in central NJ, I order stuff and get it within 2 days. may not be the cheapest for small...

Does anyone know how I would go about getting some new gearbox sideplates cut from aluminium or steel? I don't have the drawings (would Schumacher have them on file?) but I do have some used plates which could be used as templates. Does anyone have...

Use the original as a template.

Any number of hand tools can do the job, if you've got larger equipment, all the easier. If you've got nothing and a few bucks in your pocket, you could find a small machine/fabrication shop that could cut them out...

I've been out of the hobby for about 5-6 years and decided to check it out again. When I got out, I sold my modern equipment (B4, B44, LRP brushless, lipos, etc). Just went through the storage closet yesterday and found an old RC10T that I had...

That setup worked awesome for me, indoors on a track like you describe. It does work well outside for me as well. I run no weight.
These trucks have tons of steering.

Hi all

Does anyone know where I could get any fibreglass sheet? the stuff used for RC10 shock mounts, schumacher chassis's (back in the 80's)

any advice would be appreciated

ok can I use a thorp hydra topshaft in a rpm tranny? can't seem to find rpm 8058 but found a thorp 64 pitch hydra one.anybody? thanks

funny same here.I drive there from pine grove with my son and they were open but because it was only us they wouldn't turn on the lights for us to run.very upsetting.my son was olny 7 and couldn't understand how they were open but wouldn't let us...
