Are they another orange variation of the spoked wheel or are they yellow?

They are a very pale color of Orange - hard to see in pictures. Here is a comparison pic. Early box art light orange wheel has tire on it.

If you've got a set of these original wheels that have been used, they have more than likely got cracks around the inner bearing recess.... also don't acetone to remove old glued-on tyres (oops) later Losi 5 spokes were made of a different material & are more resilient ;-)

Damn. All this time, I thought they were the yellow wheels. I guess my box art project has to wait and the hunt goes on. :( Maybe I'll do the JRx2 pictured on the cover of the instruction manual instead. I remember having those orange wheels back in 1989....stress cracks all around the inner bearings.

I thought I had the right rims but I guess not. I had the light orange ones back in 89 when I was a kid. Here's a recent photo of 2 of my projects.

now i haven't had my early-ish jrx2 from new, but with the amount of use it looks like this car actually saw, i'm sure the rims are original. light rears, dark fronts. and of course, the rears are all busted around the drive pins. i wonder how soon after production started that the new rims found their way into the kits.....
