How much toe in is built into the rear arms of the bandit?

None. All the electrics (Bandit, Rustler, Stampede) have zero rear toe with the exception of the Slash, which uses nitro rear arms.

I really hate to be the one that argues with someone that knows more than me but there definatley is toe in built into the rear arms. I will get some pics tonight. The main thing is I dont know how much.

Now that I think about it, the Bandit uses different rear arms than the trucks. The Bandit arms are part #2750R. The TRX-1 and TRX-3 used 2750 arms and they have some toe. Not sure if there's anything different between the 2750 and 2750R though.

Here's a pic I was looking at and that car doesn't appear to have anywhere near as much as my TRX-1. Maybe a little bit.

I always thought the rear toe was accomplished with different rear hubs on the traxxas cars....

I doubt there's any car in the trx lineup that has zero toe total... some cars might have some in either/or of the above 3

The "R" parts in traxxas nomenclature stand for "revised" I believe... typically black plastics

All of road buggys have toe in at the rear in some way,

As Lonestar mentioned . Either in the Arms, Rear hinge pin, or in the hub carriers. Even 1dg makes a big difference .

I bought some alloy rear hubs for one of my off road buggies and i couldn't get any traction in the back at all. It was un drivable totally .. Changed back to the stock hubs and was a different buggy .

The alloy hubs were for the on road version.

In board toe in is better on rough tracks. A trick I learnt while racing on the rough grass tracks in U.K.

I know for sure that the electric Rustler and Stampede have no rear toe-in. A lot of guys running them use the 4-tec carriers to gain 1.5 in the rear, but the stock setup is at zero. The Bandit is most likely 3 degree of toe with the 2750 arms (at least that's what Traxxas used to claim the arms were).

As for the "R", it stands for race (go figure ). I'm still not certain of what exactly the difference is, but it is more than likely just an extra shock mounting position. That was the only difference I saw between the 1931 front arms on the Blue Eagle versus the 1931R arms used on the LS. Dimensions were the same, only difference was the R arms had 4 shock mounting options where the standard arms had 3.


cautrell05, can you confirm how many shock mounting holes are on your Bandit arms please? I have a new set of standard 2750 arms that I just picked up and they have 3 holes.

there is in fact a manufacturer dumb enough to use zero degrees of toe in on their 2wd offroad cars. that mfg is traxxas

Is that right. ???? If this is correct than the Traxxas engineers must have been out on the piss the night before as they really should have it the other way round.

well the pede and rusty have none. the nitro rusty is basically a SRT and the slash uses n-rusty arms as well.

the srt was the last 2wd traxxas made with rear tow and anti-squat.



maybe the trx guys know something the rest of the rc world does not.

I get a little confused when you say buggy but ,yes, basically. The Bandit obviously does have rear toe with those 2750r arms, but the electric Rustler and Stampede (and all those Monster Jam models for that matter) are set at zero, while the 4-tec has 1.5 or more .

Well, adjustable squat at least. All the newer 2.72 transmissions that have the arm mounts built-in have 1.5 of anti-squat.

Can't really say I'm surprised at that response. Your pics show obvious toe-in. All I know for certain is that Traxxas used to claim 3 degrees with all the cars that used to run those arms. You could then adjust from 2-4 degrees with the +/- 1 degree arm mounts before they switched to the newer trans cases.
