My son has always been a huge LEGO fan, and on a recent trip to the Disney area convinced me to by my 1st model after browsing around one of the largest LEGO stores I've ever seen.
Since I'm a classic (air-cooled) VW nut, the decision wasn't all that hard to make...

That's just brilliant! I didn't know Lego made such things!
Do, or do not! There is no 'try'!
RC; Boats, Buggies, Trucks, Bash's, Racing and of course 'VINTAGE'!

.... there was a thread on a UK based VW forum where people were customising them - lowering etc .... I wonder how much it would cost to replace all the red parts for those of a different colour??
Lego do an amazing range of more advanced kits like these, aimed I guess at the 'older' builder/collector.
I've downloaded the Lego CAD program where you can build/design your virtual model, i've yet to try it out yet. Lego were offering the option to turn your virtual model built on this program into a real Kit including box & artwork! But I think this service has now been discontinued.

The issue I have with those is, is it even really Lego anymore, with all the custom pieces they use?
