RC10B2 Build...

Post by Orange »

Okay, so I have YET another build started... LOL

This is a RC10B2 I picked up off of ebay the other day. Looks to be an early version.

Here are some Pics...

This is right out of box when I received it today:

Got a new chassis on the way and going to pick up a few other parts, :D

Very nice, Sean. Looks better than mine

But aint that a B3 body on it? I guess we have to deal with that.

It seems like no one has B2 bodys anymore...

The B2 body was the second coolest body (I think) that ever came in a kit, then they eff'd it up on the B3... 1st coolest kit body for me, is the RCPS body on the worlds car... Reason I like the B2 body, because it was similar in looks to the Worlds Body. :)

That red body on my kit is the correct B2 Kit body and yes, they are hard to find. But I am on the hunt!

The B2 Stealth shell was molded by RCPS, and also called the Turbo Mirage II

Everlast: I could be wrong, although I don't think I am... But I believe the body that is on your B3, is a B2 body.

I really dont think so, because thats the body that was in the box of my never run B3. Unless the owner before me changed the bodys, what I dont believe.

Whats the difference between the b2 and b3 bodys?

The most noticeable difference was the flat hood instead of the recessed B2 as memory serves

Along with what Reg is saying, Side dams are different, the air scoop is not as tall, the corners all around are more rounded, the part that defines the hood, windshield and roof is narrower, its longer - The front of the B2 body rested on top of the bulkhead, the B3 front rested in between the bulkhead and arm brace... (Not a huge difference, only about 5-6mm's.)

To make it like new again and place it on the shelf... Just to make scr8p feel good, I might even put the electronics that came with it back in it. The Tempest Pro that came with it is like brand new. I forgot how big that ESC was, LOL.

Here is a pic of the body that is in a NIB B3 sport kit I have. And to top it off the back of the body says B2-sport #6140.

B2 body was 6133 and had a small normal scoop... B2/B3 sport had that body with the big scoop.
