Restored Blackfoot

Post by markbt73 »

I figured I'd throw this one on here too... I had a Blackfoot when I was 14, and it got lost to the mists of time, so I found this one and a donor parts Frog on Craigslist, and fixed it up over the winter.

As I got it:

As you can see by the tires, it is a runner. I beefed up the rear suspension arms and differential, and added Traxxas Bandit shocks in place of the original pogo sticks, but I kept the mechanical speed control for a vintage feel. I run it with an old Futaba 2-stick radio, complete with 4xAA receiver pack. It's like 1987 all over again. :D

That looks great, nice color combo. I had a Blackfoot that I gave to my neighbor. I had a bunch of hop up on it too...even a Thorp ball diff I believe. If only I had kept it!!

I just picked one up this afternoon

Truck looks a bit beat up, but the body looked intact. I'm looking forward to getting it running soon!
