Wasn't this available as a download for a while?
I've actually never seen one in real life before, but I heard it was a really useful book when it was first released.
I would guess that if you've raced nationals for a couple of years then most of the book's contents is stuff you'd have already picked up from experience, probably without even knowing it. At first I couldn't believe how much knowledge of motors I picked up in my first year of national racing.
There's one available through Alibris and Abebooks.com out of Texas for $371.76 right now. Makes $250 look affordable. I've used Alibris to find certain obscure and hard to find items in the past.
I have to ask, Why are these books so valuable? It seems like a great book and everything but isn't it for brushed motors? I figure that would make it almost worthless by now. Or am I wrong and it actually covers both types of motor that we use. Still, I wish I'd bought one originally now.
Yes this was available as a download for a while but I simply missed that boat bitd I'd love to see a copy of this book for its historical significance and simply because BJ Greenmeyer is a hobby legend and character; but as said above not only is most of the stuff common knowledge for serious racers, but also brushed motor tuning is a thing of the past that people don't necessarily are ready to pay to get an edge on any more... There's a reason why those where requested price are $250 and $371 just don't sell ( mean, cmon, triple digit figures for this... it's ludicrous)

Keep in mind that just because someone is asking a lot to sell theirs doesn't mean it's that valuable... what matters is sales price, not asking price

Yes, Hank was the about.com guy (still have some Team RCV stickies btw, even a t-shirt transfer!) and hobbytalk host. I think BJ had his own forum on HT, both were working close iirc.
Very nice fellow, always helpful and friendly. No idea if he's still around... (Hank I mean, not BJ )

for electric motors, its a decent guide for maintence and such.. most of the info is super redundant, and alot of it you will never use in a million years.
rctech.net has it reposted their with all the extra repetitive stuff pulled out for free.
Does anyone have a Big Jim Racing Master Stock motor? Does this look right? Malung Motor endbell?

I saw that motor on eBay a while back and made a post in the Facebook brushed motor heaven group. Nobody was able to add any valuable input. I've never heard of Malung, and it's strange that Jim would use an off-brand like that.
Maybe it's just me or I believe that Vintage RC Cars such as the RC10 share the same appeal to the vintage japanese die cast robots from the 70's and 80's. Having said this, I think it's time that someone make a nice picture book about vintage RC...
I got this with a gold pan I bought a few years ago. Its a neat old book, shows on road cars as well. This is just part of the book but I thought some of you guys might like to look at this section on 2 different RC10 bodies and how this book...
Yep, in need of a dumb question being answered...maybe multiple dumb questions but all revolving around a basic question :? . I use windows xp/I.E.7(I believe) and have a problem with automatic updates. First of all my pc is all clogged up with crap...

Using a troublesome pc with a harddisk near to failure as a backup system is not your best idea. The day you need that backup it might be corrupeted all over.
Thanks guys for the b-day wishes, I'm in good company and sounds like Jim had a real fun man's party, can't remember the last time I stayed up until 4 AM. Now getting up at 4 or earlier is another story. :D
