Hi all,
It seems that 6 gear idlers have recently become a lot harder to find, and more expensive. Any chance the SC10 4x4 idlers (associated 91010) would be a viable substitute? I can see there's a flange on one side, but it doesn't look that hard to remove. . .

Nope the 6-gear idlers and the modern idlers are completely different.
IMHO, if you don't luck out at your LHS, then, rather than hunt NIP idlers on eBay, buy a used 6-gear trans and chop the out drives to make metal idlers.
