Novak/Tekin ESC Fut J connectors???

Post by Quikenuff »

Hey all, is there a suitable replacement for them? I called Novak and they said no direct replacements. Any suggestions?

Are you wanting to change the connectors themselves?

They can be changed, it's tedious work on the small wires.
But new connectors are cheap, I keep a bunch of them since I build glitch caps, Y-cords, and such.

I use the universal style on most everything.

I'm looking more for the plastic connectors rather than changing out the metal plugs. From what Can tell from looking at Tekin and Novak FUT connectors they look to be interchangeable. Just wondering if anyone has found a new source for them?

Thanks,
Quik

Hopefully this picture helps explain what I'm looking for.

Notice how the metal tabs hold the individual wires in the connector on the Novak and Tekin connectors, where plastic tabs in the Futaba style hold the wires in place on the connector. I checked with Novak and checked Tekin's website with no luck. I hoping someone out there is still using this type/style of connector.

The ones I have all have the plastic tabs on the plug, sorry. But they are cheap and easy to get on eBay.

OTOH, I've never pulled a wire out. The only ones I've ever boken the tab on are the ones i tried to disassembly. For the price I just clip them off and toss them.

Can you give me a source on these??? I bought the crimper and now would like to find some REASONABLY priced ends and plugs..... Figure custom length wiring would be a nice winter time project!

if you're ok not to have the side "tab" a la KO, hobbyking's no-name connectors have this structure (where the plastics holds the metal, as opposed too that metal "bit")
