YZ-10 identity confirmation
Hi all,
As some of you know or imagine, my favourites are kyosho cars and some early tamiya buggies.
A good friend of mine is the owner of this yokomo and asked me if I can auction it in ebay it for him , he expect to sell high enough to buy a second hand hpi baja
so as is first time I have a yokomo at home, I have no idea of what version is
can you please confirm if is a standard YZ-10 or something more exotic?
turbuckles looks as lunsford titanium ones, and it has central one-way bearing, front diff housing is back plastic, not metal.
In this moment I had removed the electronics and give it a good clean as it has been stored unused more than 15 years.
seeing it's condition it has seen very few battles, lower arms are near no scratched.
can anyone confirm if it's a standard YZ-10?
wheels are not original, they are JC WHEELS, made in UK

Yep, top deck is not stock item, in Germany they made that kind of top plates to ZY-10 94.
Slipper clutch and one way bearing were not stock equipments, but Yokomo's "hot-up" parts.
Also battery mounting "things" are Schumacher parts.

Re: YZ-10 identity confirmation
Yeah, this is a yz10 '94. The chassis has less lightening holes than the YZ10 '95 Pavidis. Is it chipped on the underside?
Looks like it also has an intact hard plastic (nylon?) wing.
You can get battery straps from fibre-lyte. The battery posts are hard to find, but are similar to the vintage RC10 ones
I've seen a few come up on eBay.
What's the motor?
Obviously needs a good clean up! Look forward to seeing this one done up!
