XXT Build
XXT Build
My First XXT that i've built after doing a couple of XX CR buggys recently and getting a bout of Losi fever
Bought this a while back and have only just got round to sorting it out. Its came up pretty damn clean to be fair, apart from a few scuffs here and there. Couple of new bits, new bearings, diff balls ,new shell and wheel discs, Thats about it really!
Love the XX series, so nice to build and go well on the track too ( can only say that about the buggys realy as i havent actually run a XXT yet)
Sorry to say that i'll probably get rid of this one soon as i've got XXT G + thats next on the list, that is definatley going to be a runner for next year!

Re: XXT Build
A nice stock example there, agreed the XX series is my favourite too. How come you are going to sell it?
I am slowly working my way through the 4WD versions now having done a XX, stock XXT and a XXT-CR G+ which is currently my favourite.
I've nearly done a Street Weapon, and plan on doing a XX4 buggy and a Heavy Metal XX4 - hopefully that'll be it for me!
Oh yeah, I forgot I've got enough parts to do a graphite XXT (non CR) which will be a Kinwald replica....damn that list goes on!

Re: XXT Build
Having owned both XXTs and XXXTs,the XXT was my firm fave of the two.
And it's always nice beating a field of XXXTs with a good ol' XXT!
I have enough spares here to build another XXT up,must get around to that...

Re: XXT Build
You got me there!
The XX4 is still the best handling 4WD buggy ever, period,no contest, end of story...But my B44 is much easier to work on!

Re: XXT Build
Yeah, TLR are still using them, they are still popular over here in the UK too. But yes, they are a b1tch to work on, thankfully mine are headed for the shelf!FasterLouder wrote:You got me there!

Re: XXT Build
We all have soft spots for them then!
Have just realised tonight thou that all the front wheel discs i have for both trucks are wrong, i'm not sure what losi truck wheels they are for. I have LOSA7198 which are 'truck wheel discs' (LXT maybe?) but need LOSA7199 which are XXT wheel discs. looks like i'll end up buying rims just to get the wheel discs
Actually i dont think i am going to get rid of it, the more i look at it the more i want to keep it! it would be a shame to as i've been waiting so long to get it rebuilt and i think it is worth a lot more to me than anyone else, and of course 2 trucks are better than 1jamin wrote:A nice stock example there, agreed the XX series is my favourite too. Re: XXT Build
Holy crap, they are definatly wrong. I just tried a set of 7198 on a new white xxt wheel and they are way too deep. This means I have LXT front wheels on my xxt and never realized it, thats why I bolted the 7198's right on mine with no troubles and never give it any thought.
I got this Jamin this is my screw up.
I have 1 pair of front xxt disc's I will post to you this week.
Dam Im sorry man

Hey Luke don't worry about it, you didn't realise, and neither did I till a couple of days ago! Thanks for the offer to send the fronts over, that would be great. Not all is lost as the rears fit okayslapshot1979 wrote:Holy crap, they are definatly wrong. I just tried a set of 7198 on a new white xxt wheel and they are way too deep. If Jamin has another set or can get some then all is sorted and I can finish both trucks.
As I said please don't stress, it'll all come good
