Wow, I'm not much of a chev guy but that's pretty sick!

I agree, look like duratrax to me. Funny how those wheels seem to be popping back up lately

I was going to sign up for that site just to check it out but it says they are no longer accepting new members. Wow....exclusive club!

Funny, I was just looking at those 1/8 scale Camaro kits on ebay the other day. I built one as a kid and I wouldn't mind another. Would totally have to convert it to RC, though. Love what he did with this one.

I remember reading this build thread ages ago, and yeah, I'm pretty sure he said they were Duratrax wheels.

Yea they are killer wheels for sure. Awesome project too. Anyone got a part number on them by chance?

Are these wheels still available or are they disc'd?
Any and all info would greatly be appreciated.

I think I found a set that are sold in the completed section of ebay but no information on a part #

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-RC10-KYOSHO-DURATRAX-ALUMINUM-WHEELS-/271119778820?pt=US_Character_Radio_Control_Toys&hash=item3f1fff8404&nma=true&si=zZmfLFr82gbsvt2sXCsL2YOFO4c%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

They look like it????

I imagine they are 2.2 correct???
On an 1/8th scale body I dont think a 1.9 would be big enough.

Those look to be the wheels. They are definitely discontinued. There was a duratrax scan somewhere on this site of the wheels with part numbers...maybe in the 'scans section' or maybe here in this part of the forum. Can't remember or find it right now but do a search and maybe you'll get lucky.

edit, found the thread:duratrax scan

Well thanks to a great member on here, I scored a set of the duratrax wheels. Only thing the rear wheels are a bit smaller than the fronts. For as hard as these are to come by and I know of another person out there that has em but doesnt want to part with them, (lol!)
Can anyone tell me if these are 1.9's? I know KC used the same size as the front wheels on his project.
The front measure out to be around 2 1/4". The rears that I got are 2".
Anyone have the larger rears they would want to part with???? PM or post. Thanks!!!

So far here is what Im working with. Need to find the larger wheel to get this to match up better. Or a better idea on how to fit a larger tire on it to fool the eye. Havent put my thinking cap on yet. LOL! But still would like to get the larger size rear wheel.

Since these wheels were designed with off road buggys in mind, it is normal for the rears to be a smaller diameter. What you need to do is find a tire with a taller sidewall to get the car to sit and look right. Maybe some foams?
