Gold shock bodies but are they for an RC10?

Hi guys,
I've got a pair of rear shock bodies that appear to be RC10 but the hexes for tightening the cap are slightly rounded and the seals and washers for the pistons don't go in the bottom side of the body, but there is a bore inside the shock body for the seals. Any idea what they are? I'll try to post pics in a bit if I need to.

Sound like later top load shocks, do they have an o ring at the top for the cap?

No O-ring, but one of them did come with a black plastic cap.

Hey guys,

I'm wanting to upgrade my gold shocks on my original Team RC10 to threaded shock bodies.

Does anybody know what part numbers would work for front and rear?

I think mine are defective. Holes not correctly drilled into shock body. I wonder if I can fix them by just drilling them out or does that bevel need to be perfect for an o-ring to ride in there- or maybe the o-ring doesn't need a bevel?

Does anyone know if the .71 hard anodized shock bodies are available by themselves? No one seems to have any, and I can't find a part number. It's probably around and I'm just missing it.

if you are interested in threaded upgrades try these they are a direct replacement and still use the original .71 internals so they will not leak like tc3 shocks.

My friend got these like-new shock bodies with some crawler parts in a lot he purchased, and I just wanted to see if they're Losi bodies? I remember the original shocks on my LX-T were a bright shiny black, but these have a rough texture. I don't...

I agree, they are close to AE with the hard coating... would never have thought TRX-3, but it appears to be spot on!

I just got back from vacation and came across some sweet finds at a hobby shop. One of the things were some Hamman Gruman VLT damper bodies. I searched the forum and found that hoopty has a set and he called them crappy and Scr8p has a set but...

yep, they look sweet, I used a set on my RPM Ultra molded chassis, mine are Losi's... I just found that tightening the shock clamps just a little bit too much slightly hampers the travel of the piston because of the soft plastic, anyway, they look...

How long are the standard shock bodies for the RC10 Team and Worlds? There are quite a few sizes listed and am a bit confused as to what ones to order. Thanks

You could use the .89's that come on the B4. I think the old school alternative was .56's if running onroad or 1.02 if running offroad.
