I wasnt happy with my old analog servo in there (Airtronics 94258), it needs a rebuild and it getting really loud. Out with it and in with a Hobby People HV servo, I will take some pics over the weekend. The HV (high voltage) servo is designed for 7.4v, but seems to work well on 6.0v. I did shorten the servo linkage quite a bit to get full travel left/right. Stock sized linkage would not give me full right travel, no matter where I placed the servo horn. Shocks come with a ton of extra pistons, both taper hole and straight hole, I've been bench testing them and feel the straight 4 hole piston feels the best. All the others give TONS of pack and just dont feel right.

Transmission is very smooth, diff feels good tight. I will be taking it on the maiden voyage soon, 10.5 Venom motor strapped in and ready to rock.

Another report after I hit the track and do some tweaking, if needed :)

The car looks to be of good quality especially for the price - sort of a mixture of design similar to many other 2wds out there now? I like the way that the rear end is braced to the chassis - looks good & strong!

I look forward to hearing how it performs, do you think you'll ever run it in mid-motor configuration?

The fit/finish of the car is really good, very little fiddling to make things fit and feel right. The plastics dont seem to have the modern graphite injection (like many other companies), and some parts are a little flexy (not in a bad way). Initial reports is the car has great forward traction, but still nimble in the twisty sections. It seems to be a very close cousin to the TRF 201, I hear rumors the tamiya parts are a direct fit in many areas.

Not sure if I will try mid motor, very seriously thinking of getting one for my son, so we carry the same spare parts. After my shake down testing, that will help me decide - if I can break it, he will break it :)

Bodies are scarce right now, not even listed for sale :( , so when I paint this one up, I better be careful. Paint scheduled for later today. Dan, I am still loving on your mid motor Team C car, just a fantastic piece of work. Doesnt hurt that I like orange alloy either :) . My red shock bits may get a little oven cleaner to them, go a-naturale alloy.

Got the car onto dirt last night, only ran a partial pack. I didnt have time to rebuild the shocks to my liking, but drove it anyway. As it sits, mild understeer (result of too heavy feel on the front end) but plenty of rear traction. Car jumps very well, it wasnt as smooth and easy to drive like my Slim B4, but I also had a 10.5 in this versus a 17.5 blinky. Not a fair comparison. I will work on the car some more, getting the "bench feel" where I want it before hitting the track again.

Overall, impressed with the rear traction/grip the car has. I think "fixing" my set up with make the car much easier to drive.

i'm watching this as my first gen ft b4 is tired. i try not to buy the latest and greatest, i passed on the b4.1. but i'm kinda wanting a new 2wd.
i'll most likely end up with a ft b4.2 but i'm open to others as long as it's not a k-car.

Early impressions seem promising! :D - Yes I would imagine that your B4 would suddenly seem more tricky to drive if you swapped out the 17.5 for a 10.5!

Its funny how after many years in the hobby you get a idea for how the suspension should 'feel' just sitting on the work bench, the rear of my TM2 seemed over-damped (seems the larger piston area in big-bore shocks require thinner oils to be used) so I drilled out two of the six piston holes to only 1.2mm - but this was enough to give me the 'feel' I was looking for - & seemed to perform ok on the track.

Yes, the kit includes front axles to run B4 wheels or metric (bearing) wheels. Rear is direct fit for B4/Losi pin style wheels.
