My RC10 Story and Recent projects

Post by dnewsome »

Well, I have "lurked" here long enough. I though I should share my story and some recent stuff i have been working on. I got my first RC10 when i was fourteen. I have had MANY RC cars since, (and still own quite a few), but the RC10 always held a special place in my memory. The first picture below is of that yellow RC10. That RC10 is long, long gone. (Wish i still had those chrome wheels!!) Fast forward 20 some years and I wanted another RC10 to start my son into understanding the "old" school stuff. With the wonder of the internet, I soon found and bought a nice clean RC10 to restore. I started restoring it and then I found this forum. WOW!!! I have never been so overwhelmed with good info.... I sat for HOURS and HOURS and learned everything I could about Edinger vs Cadillac, etc, etc. So here I am, sharing a few of my projects. This forum really does have a lot of great people and great info.

On to the pictures........

yeah, I still miss the original. I sold it to an older cousin soon after getting it. The date on the back of that picture is 1989.

No offense taken, none implied by my comment either. it's a great looking scheme, and execution.

Except scr8p's is all cool and modern and mine is just an old stock cadillac RC10. :D I thought about modernizing that one, but I have so many other RC projects. These RC10s are truly addicting.

Thanks. That's another RC10 on my "to get" list. Always wanted a graphite car, they seem to be getting harder to find here lately.

Believe it or not before this rebuild it was only played with 3 times so all the parts i am replacing are like new.part of me feels bad but i can always use them on a glold pan.out of all my rc. its by far my favorite one.and the very first i ever built.
