So I am considering the following items and was wondering for feedback on the choices, I currently have a Spektrum Dx3e that I am trying to reuse with this build if at all possible, at most I would want to do some mild club racing with it but I learned the local track doesn't have a stock buggy class...
I still have no idea on batteries and chargers, would prefer something AC/DC as I don't want to deal with a power supply, and also questionable on the ESC as many have seemed to recommend Tekin but the cost is considerably more and I am not sure I need to be able to adjust that much

Never looked in here before. some cool old stuff..... I have to laugh that some of you collect this stuff.... I cant seem to hardly give the antique stuff away.. Ive even saved a bunch of it from the trash... but some days it gets tempting to put it...

See the little black knob, right side of the radio? That's the throttle/brake, super cool indeed
Im thinking of getting the new ESE. I can't race my 1:1 this year because of my back deal but they have RC races at all the events so Im thinking I might as well do that.

Same with me. I am not preaching to anybody. Castle is all that I have owned. I really think any brushless system is better than not. You don't need to get crazy with the high KV rating motors and 3s Lipos. I think the insane speed that always gets...
In the hunt for good deals I tend to pick up used ESCs and receivers in need of a little rework.
These 2 Novak ESCs needed the standard case cleanups, wiring unsnarling, receiver connector repair, and power switch replacement. For the switches I...

I like restoring the Novak 410 esc's...once you make a couple bad buys on some not working units, you have spare parts to pretty up working ones, lol.
OK, so I dont really know anything about the quality of older electronics and hopefully you guys can point me in the right direction. So this is what I have:
Servo:
-Futuba FP.S148 x3..........they arent that strong but im not racing so these...

Just a though, If i treated the numbers like a brushless, the 25k rpm over what is likely 7.2 V puts the motor a little over 3500KV rating which is about 11 turns. I'm trying to find out if the motor is or isnt 11 turns b/c i'd really prefer reverse...
I'm in the process of cleaning & going through all my r/c stuff for my new hobby room. Yesterday I attacked the garden shed and came across this. I knew I had it but couldn't remember where.
This is a wind up metal toy that moves along the surface...

That is really clever! My little girl is a bit too old for that now. Plus it is a bit expensive. Otherwise I may have treated her.
