Welcome from Russia! New backyard track and video!

Post by Guesswhat »

Hi there!

I just built small track near my house, is it ok for 1:10 buggy?

Image

First we tried to use it with Team Asso RC18T models, but deep sand and a lot of bumps made controls were extremly clumsy

Here is the video

I decided to buy something bigger, TA RC10 B4.1 RTR. Results was mixed until I changed servo and rear tires. But I`m still unsure is it track ok for 1:10

Here is video:

Any advise would be highly appreciate...

My first advice is to get rear wheels & tires with matching width. :P

And a dash-cam.

Thank you!
True, new rear wheels looks a bit wider than I expected, but my local RC store salesman said its ok )
Now B4.1 looks more like a dragster, but on loose sand its ok

I use Spectrum DX3C with 80 expo on throttle, 30 on steering - now I can at least control my model

I'm using those same tires on narrow crawler beadlock wheels with one of my cars, those are pretty wide...so the ones on your AE must be some pretty wide rear wheels...stadium truck wheels maybe? I think those Calibers would be good on wheels from about 37 - 42mm wide or so.

track looks like a good size for the rc10 .. maybe take a lawn roller to it to make it flat then give it a quick rake and it should be alot better .. if not maybe a tire with a bigger spike to dig through the lose dirt

Thank you so much for the feedback
2WD buggy is damn hard for the newbie like me, I already ordered B44.2 Factory Team kit to try

I was advised to use PVA glue on the sand to make it more "firm"
