Blacktiger355's RC10 A and B stamp builds!

Post by Blacktiger355 »

Just picked up this basket case from rctech for $30. I was surprised to find it was an A stamp chassis. Shame it has a lot of holes drilled. So I plan on making it a runner for my local indoor track with modern esc/motor and lipo battery setup.

This is how I got it. (sellers pic, not mine)

And here she is after a little clean up. Needs a few things for sure, but in very good shape for what I paid. Full bearings, and some rare andy's a-arms and front bumper, as well as the Houge Steering rack.

I like it. This car already has a certain "character" about it. Great job bringing it back from a pile of dirty and mismatched parts.

By the way, let me know if you still need some dog bones. :)

Nice car.
Are you planning to keep the 6 gear? If so, make sure you do a good job building it up.
. . . you have Associated Green Slime for brains. And not even new Green Slime, but old gooped out Green Slime.

Thanks guys!

ChisaiKuso, yes I could use the dog bones, would at least get it rolling for now.

85Edinger, I am on the hunt for a stealth gearbox as we speak. 6 gear will probably be put away.

Thank you!

As an update, I just scored a stealth transmission from a local racer for $18 shipped! Only downside is it is dyed orange! Will post pics when it arrives.
Can I re-dye it black? Or will it come out some funky color?

I'll get a couple of dog bones in the mail to you either Monday or Tuesday.

Another small update! I was eBay hunting and picked up a black B stamp chassis and nose plate that is pretty scratched but solid and has the stealth tranny holes for just under $19 shipped. Probably going to swap everything to that chassis so I don't have to drill the A stamp pan.
