Supernaut - Losi
I only have 2 Losi cars. I just finished the XX CR today.
The XX CR is one nice car. Great design!!
I was too lazy to do a build thread.
The JRX-Pro was done last year sometime. Just thought I would throw it in the same post.

Cool! You got the xx together then
I haven't seen one with the parts dyed red like that.
Those wheels might take some rit too

Anodized. The original ones were silver then they were anodized blue and red apparently?pottok wrote:Could you tell me more about the motor mount on your XX-CR ? is it red anodized or painted ?

Thanks for your answers.
The blue anodized is original on tke BK kit but i didn't know the red anodized. Maybe home anodized or aftermarket part.

Re: Supernaut - Losi
I actually got that buggy as a parts lot (cheap), I needed parts to finish another XX
I did not really know what I had until I saw all the parts together when it was delivered.
The parts were all individually bagged and then I noticed the front shock tower and looked it up.
There was basically a whole XX CR buggy there, I just had to clean it up and put it together.
The motor mount, RPM Gear Cover, and RPM Bumper included.
I also have some Old Stock that was included, bumper, sway bar kit, and a few other hard to find parts.
The other XX buggy will not be completed......

Regarding the motorplate - yes the kit motorplate was blue on the Kinwald, but that was a non-machined item... I brought a blue anodised machined motorplate new in a Losi header card to the original #9920 groove pattern - this would have before the release of the Kinwald kit - also on the rack was a machined plate in red

Re: Supernaut - Losi
Hey Dan, I am sure they were custom anodised and put back in their header cards, I dont recall Losi ever making official ones, not even in black like Kinwald had on his XXT (which I need for my replica), not that it matters mindDerbyDan wrote:Regarding the motorplate - yes the kit motorplate was blue on the Kinwald, but that was a non-machined item... Re: Supernaut - Losi
I think that may have been something that I had suggested - but cannot be sure.... with the appearance of some annodised plates stateside I have started to wonder if they were coloured from the factory?jamin wrote:Hey Dan, I am sure they were custom anodised and put back in their header cards, I dont recall Losi ever making official ones, not even in black like Kinwald had on his XXT (which I need for my replica), not that it matters mindDerbyDan wrote:Regarding the motorplate - yes the kit motorplate was blue on the Kinwald, but that was a non-machined item... Re: Supernaut - Losi
I've seen purple anno factory plates. The red ones seem to make me think Fantom re-worked them to match the red parts they madeDerbyDan wrote:I think that may have been something that I had suggested - but cannot be sure.... with the appearance of some annodised plates stateside I have started to wonder if they were coloured from the factory?jamin wrote:Hey Dan, I am sure they were custom anodised and put back in their header cards, I dont recall Losi ever making official ones, not even in black like Kinwald had on his XXT (which I need for my replica), not that it matters mindDerbyDan wrote:Regarding the motorplate - yes the kit motorplate was blue on the Kinwald, but that was a non-machined item...
