Pulled this out the garage after 25 years.....
Didnt know what to do with it ,being that it was semi disassembled and I had no clue where to start so I took it to a local hobby shop to see if they could get it up and running.
This is how it came back....(i think he did a great job) .They told me they have an under trey coming in and also are waiting for a clear body and decals to come in.
My only question is the choice of motor he pit in.....A velineon...lol
I don't know much about rc's but I know that's too much power....
My question is, when the velinion is on training mode, which he set it on (with a 4000 20c 2s lipo) , what would the power output be the equivalent of ,as far as a turned motor??
I can always swap out the system , but get a kick outta seeing that motor in there.
Also, is there anyway of upgrading the gears in the tranny or the drive train in general??
Thanks.

I use a hosting service like photobucket. You can also open them in paint and reduce the size. If you are on a iphone, a free program called auto resize makes it the perfect size to upload to the site

Re: Unearthed my Supershot......
I don't find Velineons to be all that powerful, they don't have insane instant torque nor do they wind too far out.
Is it both the motor and the esc? With my older Tamiyas running brushless I dial down the punch control a bit.

I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Re: Unearthed my Supershot......
Yeah, it's both motor and esc (velineon) .
Right now it's set on "training mode" so it's dialed down to 50% output.
It zips along. I'm just wondering if I take it off training mode if its gonna end up ripping the gears (or worse) apart.
Car is awesome though.

Re: Unearthed my Supershot......
Supershot has been re-released as the SuperHotshot in the year before last.
Hotshot & Boomerang were re-released before that so all the shared drivetrain parts
are still plentiful.
