Tamiya Hornet 4WD

Post by urban hype »

Hello All, I recently came across this video that featured a Tamiya Hornet that had a 4WD conversion kit. From the video it looks like it performed rather well. Does anyone know anything about this conversion kit?

Here is the video.

Ahh that vid again...the last time I watched it, I had an epileptic seizure.

What I remember about that Hornet is that pretty much the only thing Hornet about it was the body. :P

They were custom built chassis. They started with a Hornet, took the body off and put it to one side, then threw everything else away.
There's a mix of Hotshot parts, Kyosho parts and many custom made parts in there.

Grahoo, whose video it is, has built a modern interpretation of the 4wd Hornet. Basically a Hornet chassis grafted onto a DF03

Thanks for the info. I thought that it looked interesting and a rather challenging conversion if it actually existed.

I couldn't even watch the whole thing...

Buggy looks like a Kyosho Gallop to me.
