Procat carbon fiber chassis help

Post by Peakey »

Hi all

im looking at haveing a new chassis made out of carbon fiber but I want it with no cutouts for the cells. I was wondering what people might think about this in terms of stiffness and handling. Has anyone come across one or had one let me know your thoughts.

Thanks justin

it will definitely be stiffer. would you be able to tell? maybe, but the chassis was probably stiff enough for 95% of the racer's with the cell cutouts. It will also be heavier. All in all, it would probably be tough to tell one car from another if they were set up identically otherwise. I would not hesitate to run a full chassis if it helps to meet your goals.

I didn't think it would make a massive difference as I was going to remove the top deck bracket to help with a bit if flex. I was just trying to tap into the wealth of knowledge on here
