They are definitely not as durable as an injection molded nylon piece but they should take a fair amount of abuse on a dirt track. Probably not so much on concrete or if its hard core bashing.
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas Factory Works website
Awesome car! I love how you're running vintage electronics too. Do you think they will be much of a handicap? Like if the response of the servo is slow, or the ESC is inefficient, compared to modern stuff other guys may be running, and NiCADs vs LiPos?
Thanks! The ESC and motor combo have been great, the servo is a little on the slow side when compared to a modern $100+ servo but I don’t think it’s a handicap. I’ve been trying to keep the car in the full spirit of vintage but I have to admit that NiCads do suck, especially 20 year old NiCads, they drop off towards the end of the heat (we run 5 min). When indoor racing picks up again in the fall I might switch to a low C rated lipo.
Nice buggy I would change out that servo to a more robust I don't think speed the issue but the torgue 25oz not good. I would go for at least a S9301..69.5 oz S132H made more for on road 1/12 scale.
Yeah, I’m aware and I had some reservations before using it. It’s a servo I've had laying around for a long time and I wanted to try it, so far it’s held up and performs decent. If the vintage racing scene gets more competitive and the frequency of it picks up I’ll eventually upgrade.
Here is my RC10T, I race it in a vintage class we have here in Kamloops BC. It's mostly stock except for the 3/16 axle conversion to run the T4.1 tires and the shocks have been rebuilt and have the V2 shock caps. I ran a brushless setup in it and...

Now that the anodized parts for my ReRe projects are in, it's time to get building!
I think I have most of the parts on hand to complete this one except for the new Lunsford Worlds Retro turnbuckles I just ordered and maybe a few other little bits...

what rear shock tower is that I like the wing mounts?
The rear tower is just a short World's 3mm tower from RC Carbon Works. The wing mounts are from the B5M kit (91531).
...The car is gorgeous, very stunning. Love the colors.
Looks good! ...?...
Going to build my 1993 stealth chassis up to race in 17.5 spec racing this winter. Here is what I have to start, plus a few parts that are going to be donated from my way to expensive B4.1 build. So here is my overall plan going off a buggy I seen...

Nice, I have read most of the thread on and off since you started it. I may have missed it, but is there a track you go to with it? Yes 510 Raceway in Foley MN - Indoor dry clay
Hi all,
I have an RC10T that I raced at the RCPRO Series Cabin Fever Race.
I qualifed 2nd and placed 2nd in the main. 1st was taken by Chris Bridgewater a sponsored AE driver with a GT2 and a tire change in the main.
The thing handles awesome...

Yup, RCPRO is allowing electric in 1/10 gas truck and Monster Truck.
This was done to increase entries for those two classes that need attendance help.
The rules state electric has to run as many pits as nitro but the very reasonable Mr. Epps ruled...

Anyone have some pics of the car used during the 1998 World cup in UK?
During the perfect world of David Spashett, the Yokomo team, used a proto of touring car.
I've never seen any good pic of that car, in the magazine was named YR4M2 J, but it's...

Thank You very much
Guys, there has been a bit of discussion on the JBRL Electric thread in RCTech about doing a vintage class. JB has no problem doing it if there is enough participation (8 drivers, I believe).
I am not going to be able to have a car ready for...
