I have found some interesting differences in pieces on my Alta based cars.
First off, I have a Super Alta, a Buick Stocker, and an Academy Nissan 300ZX. Although they appear the same minus the wheels and body mounts, they have a few little differences.
First off, the Super Alta is clearly branded Kyosho. The Buick dropped the branding, and the Academy was rebranded. Also the rear suspension hole, where the plastic T plate fastens, is cut differently on the original Alta. The ride height is noticeably lower. Both the Buick and Academy have the same redesign. The Alta and Buick have the same front arms, and the Academy has bent arms for more ground clearance. Then of course all the speed controls differ as well.
As I dig in further to clean these up I will add any new info

Re: The Kyosho Super Alta family
While I have not driven one, I hear they are very forgiving with all the flex, and actually have decent grip on outdoor surfaces. They were underpowered with a 380 and later a 540 style motor that gave it a lot more to work with. Not going to compete with a 12L but fun, like how a Raider compared to a rc10
