Yet another project started for me...13 year old Demon car

So my youngest son (who races occasionally ) is becoming a teenager this year. His favorite colors right now are red and black. He is 'bored' with his T4 and B4, so I decided to build up a B stamper for him.

First thing, get all black parts, second, a nice chassis to turn red...

Red chassis (ignore the truck and B3 parts please )



Counter sink it up...



And slap some parts on it...





I've ordered ball studs and cups, I have worlds steering (in white, darn it). I am deciding if I will be going old style shocks or pick up a set of re-re threaded (leaning that way due to this will be a racer), not thinking I had a set of gold set aside before a spur of the moment decision for a red chassis (was gonna be gold/black). Need to find black nose tubes and wing tubes. I dont want silver on here, dont think I want the JC ones either...they have silver accents. It will be as close to a roller as I can get it by his birthday (next weekend, LOL).

And just looked at Tower...black nose tubes are still available...and I just put in an order this morning for stuff.

B4/b44. The used set was off my b44 from when i switched to big bores, the new set is off a b44 parts car.

these are 'classic' sized worlds towers, not the extended one for the longer shocks...i have longer ones

yeah! red chassis looks pleasant. seem as though you have a wast involvement in hobby. looking forward for finishing of your built up. keep sharing....

I've ordered up black 8/32" 100 degree alloy screws for this build. I cant bring myself to use the green or blue that is offered by AE. Waiting on that and a few other bits to keep moving forward with this build. It will take a couple weeks, but it will get done Then onto my other 7 builds currently sitting....patiently....waiting

got a Tower order in yesterday, so more progress will be made today. Still need some final bits to make it a full roller though.

Not much progress, spent too much time on the NIX91 and started the 'sister' build on the red/black truck (well layed out all the parts and made a list of what I am missing for it).

Got ball studs/turnbuckles done and installed

Really loving this build and the colors. Did you actually dye the chassis with RIT?

Local powder coater did it, and the truck chassis/nose/motor plate...and the B3 nose/motor/T plate
