Getting back to basics

Post by marlo »

Mostly working on my Runners now. I had had my wife's truck apart for nearly 2 years, and was missing a good amount of parts. I had had a few nip RPM parts saved for her truck, and over the last little while, she went back together 8) Still needs adjusting, as I'm getting a high pitch whine coming from the tranny ((might be the diff.). The body might be a proline for a T-3, but I'm not sure, it was sitting lose for some time. My wife did the painting, and it's not that bad  , she also did the steering / throttle adjustments  Chassis was looking bad, with heavy scratches, so it was very lightly sandblasted, as the motor mount ( I may do the nose plate also, I had left it home that day  ). It's a clone of my truck, as I always buy things in pairs, so parts were no problems there.... truck is dusty, as I just took it for a good test run on gravel..... Enjoy!

Here's a stand I made at work. Pretty simple stand, with some magnets glued at the base to hold clips, or whatever.

Hi Marlon,

Looks like a great runner.

The blasted chassis looks sweet!

Cheers, Dave. :)
