I can find plenty with side shunts that are close in size, not to hard to get them to the right size. I guess you don't have an old Trinity Brush Factory laying about?
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.
Hi, I just bought a vintage Reedy Ultra Mr K's motor, this one:
I would like to buy a stash of spare brushes for it. Could you please let me know what type I am looking for.
I have no idea whether it is laydown, stand up, etc. I searched Ebay...
Hey guys, I have a couple of Reedy Ultra series motors that need some new brushes. Does anyone have any suggestions or part numbers for oem or compatible substitutes? Is compatible substitutes kind of redundant? LOL! Hopefully tower hobbies has...

I hav e some original Ultra brushes of various types stashed away - howmany sets do you need?
I wonder if anyone can help? I have been looking for those tiny ring terminals to crimp onto the end of some brushes. Rather like you may find on Reedy or Trinity old school brushes. Ideally copper, but anything considered. The usual searches throw...

Thanks but I am done searching as I only ever find large ones, even from specialist electronic part suppliers.
Just wondering if anyone knows any links before I give up. I can secure them without the rings, but it may be a little finishing touch....
A few weeks ago, I ordered a new reedy 17t motor for my rc10. When the motor arrived, I looked it over and the only funny thing that I noticed about it was that the wires that lead to the brushes is very small compared to that of the the wire on my...

The EZ Run are the sensorless. The XE Run are the sensored. I have an XE Run in my mid motor XXX. I'm thinking about the EZ Run for my RC10 and perhaps other cars. I'm not really concerned about slight cogging starting from a dead stop. My concern...
This is a Trinity vintage motor using slot brushes. Infact the complete hardware on the endbell is different. From my knowledge this is one of the legendary motors made by Big Jim Greenemeyer when he worked at Trinity.

That´s easy to explain. The real Checkpoint motors were made by Big Jim Greenemeyer who was coming from slotcar racing as some other guys like Erni Provetti in the early days of RC racing. He sold the name later to the guys who are making the newer...
I came across a nice group of brushed motors from a dirt oval racer and there was a CAM super stock motor with some uniquely cut brushes. The sides were narrowed to allow the face to offset for more timing advance. I think it's really cool! I guess...

There was lots of brush cutting going on back in the day. Several companies sold precut brushes and brush cutting machines were also a thing so you could cut your own. Everything from slotted brushes for more cooling to holes drilled up the center...
I bought this set of RPM knockoffs for my HPI vintage wheels. Anybody else use them? I figured they'd be a perfect fit for my 4mm Kyosho axles, which use an M4 nylon lock-nut by default.
These RPM knockoffs say right on the package, Fits all...

I have several sets already, but I think mine are specific to the DS and they fit ok for light use or else just for looks. I don't think they go on tight enough for hard runs.
I'm posting here because I know that the Ultima has the same front wheel shaft size as the AYK buggy I'm trying to finish. It's a Sidewinder. I'd like to modernise it and mount 2.2. wheels on the front and rear. I think the front axles are 4mm....

Interestingly enough, ultima bearings and the bearings from the original rc10 (flanged bearings) have the same diameter. You may be able to find some 2.2 associated wheels that can be used for your car.
