Picked up an RC10T

Post by CruzinCustomz »

Found this locally. I've been wanting to get another RC10T for a few years now. This one popped up locally in a lot along with a Losi JrT and a bolink pan car. Threw the JrT and Bolink on ebay to recover what I spent on the lot.

Going to eventually go through it and get it running with some modern electronics.

Started messing around a little, converted to hex all the way around.

Nice find, looks like it would be a great runner.

Thanks. Definitely going to be a runner, I'll be running modern electronics as well as painting up a different body for it.

I gotta get some projects done and then get my 10T out of the closet and get it going again. :D

They're HPI Wheely King Wheels, turns out they are 2.2

Cleaned it up a little and painted up an HPI body I had, still need to sand the edges. I also added RPM mock exhaust tips and front bumper.

It was super slick with the original body. I understand not wanting to tear it up.

Yeah, I didn't want to tear up the body it came with.

I hooked up a 17t motor and took it for a spin to see how it runs. Slipper was slipping badly even with it tightened all the way, going to take the tranny out and go through it before I put in a hotter motor.

I made a quick YouTube video of it running:

That's odd the slipper wouldn't hold. Perhaps a new disc would help?
