Re: Shinwa Rolling Road
I know this sounds ridiculous, but the sound it made at full whack was amazing also!
I'll have to try it out again once we have the cars up and running.
From memory the quickest we ever saw on it was 44kph, ironically from the cheapest car we ever owned; a 49.99pounds Mardave Meteor! I was selling it at the time so chucked a Reedy 21double into it and ran it at a flat tarmac event on a school playground. Geared it high (almost to standard motor levels from memory) and then obliterated everything down the main straight. The 4wd cars caught and passed me on the infield then lap after lap I would just swing out wide and pass everything down the main straight.
Pretty awesome.
Like the Motor Dresser, probably not too accurate but great for testing like-for-like and giving highest top speed kudos..... which is what it is all about when you're 15. The End.
Really pleased we still have it - must be pretty rare today.
