Reviving a Stealth CE and other RC10's

I impulse bought a couple more gold pan's to add to the fleet to accompany my original Cadillac and figured I would post them up. I'm certain i will have a few questions while fixing them.


My first car will likely stay as is. Several guys on this site helped me get this one back in decent shape and I am grateful. It's a #6016 Cadillac with a reedy conquest motor and tekin rebel esc. It actually runs really well, which is why it is dirty in these pictures. It's no more than a used runner, but it has sentimental value, as it took me two christmas' to get all the necessary parts to get it built and working, back in the mid 1980's.

To avoid wear on the Cadillac, I'm going to be working on this 'B' stamp Stealth Championship Edition with white arms. The plan is to put together a brushless runner, since it is already well used.

It looks like I am going to concentrate effort on the Stealth CE car, so I will modify the title of the thread appropriately.

I rummaged through a few parts bins and and it looks like I might have enough to upgrade the transmission to B4 slipper and make sure the diff is good, as well.
I also picked up a "Viper" body to go on it, I was thinking Orange and white, for colors.

Yeah, it had been in storage since the mid 1990's, but it had a hard life before that.

I aquired another "custom" RC10 (because I obviously have a problem).
This one looks like a B3 plus some sort of Graphite or carbon fiber style chassis, and some Truck rear arms, with a few other tweaks.
Edit: The custom bulkhead was cracked all over, so I replaced it and I'm gonna sell this one to fund the rest.

I got a parts car. It's an 'A' stamp Cadillac that came with the wrong wheels and a green label Reedy stock motor.

So, I was pulling the wheels and motor off this little A stamp Cadillac car and I have to hold the axles to get the wheel nut off because the axle drive pin doesn't engage the wheel. I got to looking at how dark the gear cover was and found a surprise there too.


Other than that and the gold having some discoloration in places, it is a decent little car.

It sure looks like there should be, ha. I wondered why it was dark brown and didn't have one spot I could see through.

I think so, other thana little discoloration on some of the anodizing.

I'm unsure about the wheels that were on it. They look like Worlds car fronts and truck rears.

All the parts from that buggy are pretty decent and unmolested.
I'm working on assembling them on the graphite chassis in a mid motor setup.

Yeah, it was already that "interesting" when I got it, I believe it was used an an on road car chassis.
