Heavy Metal Restoration
I just finished restoring my Heavy Metal. Original motors and speed controls. New body from TBG and decal kit from MCI. These are an absolute blast to drive! I'm using an old 2 stick radio and never tire of chasing my pomeranians around the house with it. I'm very happy with the results and its performance, but I would love to source a set of original style tracks. The ones I have on it now are the only ones I could find and are standard modern blizzard tracks. The originals have a different tread design and were usually cut to narrow them for more "realistic monster tank action". I have the original set but they are beyond repair. One track is usable, but the other is hammered, and they both look pretty rough. Anyone out there know where to find a set of originals? Or am I stuck watching ebay for a set to pop up for sale?
