I just got the RPM front arms, but shimmed back like yours, I hit the chassis - but the bigger problem is the arms are longer than the stock TRX1 arms, making the front end too wide overall, almost a complete inch (20mm or so) wider than my other cars (legal width). How did you combat the width issue?
Hello Joey,
You have to dremel a little to install the RPM front arms so that they don’t hit the chassis... and yes they are 4mm wider than the stock ones (so total of 8mm for the front). Don’t know the legal width as i just run it in non official race...but i guess it could be an issue.
My concern was more to harden this part of the car.

I ran some caster wedges stacked alternate to clear the chassis.
And I split the difference with the wheelbase shimming.
But I ran the TRX-3 caster block (TRA2632R) with the SRT (TCP wide track option) knuckles and axles (TRA2536).
The knuckle takes up all the vertical clearance in the caster block so there is no front axle height adjustment. And you can run the 25° caster blocks (TRA2634R) if you'd like.
Picked up this TRX-1 over the summer. The 2WD collection is nearly complete!
The diff and shocks are dry and tires are cracked. But, it's in good shape and should clean up well. The bottom deck has only a couple minor skuffs and looks like it was...

Hi I have recently dug out my old B3 with the idea of taking up racing again and I have noticed I am missing the CVD dog bone and the relevant pins and coupling. As I am looking to race the car my intention is to try and replace the parts I need to...

I think I am getting tripped up because there was the mention of a (T3) truck as well. The hex adapters are sold in widths. I'm using the t4 adapters on my truck with the standard t5/t6 wheels and the width is right. That may be close to the correct...

I recently machined up a slipper unit for my ultima, and it came out pretty good. I may do another for my optima project. I am planning to post pics of my Ultimate Ultima project as soon as I can get some time to vacuum bag a chassis, and finish it....
Maybe this is an odd question but I'm really trying to figure out what I should do. So here's the story, I bought a TRX-1 off ebay for what I felt was a good price. It as a couple small things I want (wing wire, buttons, etc.) But after that I...
