I really don't post here much but I figured I would share this. This is a sad day.

We are witnessing a great era coming to an end with the pioneers of hot rodding and drag racing dying off.

Watching his show on TV proved to me that he was an a-hole to work for.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. He most likely treated everyone that way - employee or not. Don't have a lot of use for folks like that.

Anyone who has met or worked for him usually thinks he was an a-hole. He had some good creative vision for creating hotrods but just rammed that one style into the ground, his car designs usually do not get my rocks off (along with orange county choppers)

Don't let the Boob-Tube for you to make a judgement about how someone is............... with all those shows, the producers encourage "conflict" to the point where it becomes second nature so that we all watch.

Sorry to hear that. Definitely a true LEGEND!
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

My thoughts exactly. Plus sometime you got to be a hard a-- to be as succesful as he was. I imagine scrap can agree from experience, there is alot and I mean alot of small details that goes into building hot rods of that caliber.

True, after working for Roush for ten years (although I never worked for Jack directly)......... we all knew that when he was around or if you had give him a presentation, you had better be prepared, don't waste his time or try to BS him.

Probably the fourth or fifth forum I've read this on tonight. Shame as he was quite young, but that's life. :(

I actually met him at a HotWheels convention in Anaheim. He seemed kinda gruff but he signed my HotWheels convention car.
