Alternative to 9608 blue spacer

Post by radioactivity »

Really haven't been able to find any Associated FT Rear Axle Wheel Spacers, at least reasonably.
Yep, a 2mm washer will work but it isn't too pretty and doesn't have a taper to prevent rubbing the outer portion of the bearing.
So I bought Durango TD714002 wheel cone spacers. $4 plus shipping. Way cheaper than the last pair of 9608s I bought.
The Durangos are not 2mm thick like a 9608 but 1.5mm. Slightly smaller in diameter but the center hole fits on the 3/16 axle perfect.
Anno is gold but looks OK.
Schumacher has a Rear Wheel Cone Washer in black anno but haven't tried it.

The Ebay store is hit and miss, but he has them.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
