Hello all. I just came across this RC10 but don’t know anything about it. What model or year it is from. I have the opportunity to buy it, but wanted to check if I’ll still be able to get it running again. I was only able to snap this quick over the top picture. Will replacement parts still be available or would it have to be a shelf queen? I’d love to actually run it, but not if it’ll be difficult to replace anything that breaks. I wouldn’t be opposed to updating it if possible too. Well any help and insight would be appreciated.
Hello that is a RC10 graphite six gear from the mid to late 80s. It looks pretty rough. The chassis has had the front kick up cut off and a aluminum kick up hacked in. The motor plate has been cut up also. Most of the parts have been discontinued so Ebay is your best bet for parts and they are getting pricey. I myself would pass on this one .

Thanks for the quick reply. After I posted this I’ve been pouring through several pages here on RC10talk trying to figure out what it was. The aluminum front was throwing me off. What about the black arms? Were those stock? Or are those dyed black? I assume the direct steering is also not stock.
It appears that all nylon parts have been dyed black.
Out of the box, they were natural or off-white in color.
Also, these cars came with bell crank steering.
Looking at the pic. again the kickup hasn't been cut off but is in bad shape. The aluminum kickup was probably just used to sandwich the graphite chassis to the front arm mounts. Are those ball cups glued into a butt connector.

At minimum, a 1/4" has been cut off the front edge of the kickup.
Admittedly the first time I’ve seen an RC10 without the bellcranks.... poor poor graphite
Please correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t the Graphite released in 89’-90’
Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.
Hey Cru ! Go balls out
The majority of parts make me feel as though it’s an earlier gold tub with long front arms and graphite chassis. Namely the single hole towers and fully threaded turnbuckles.

Wow. You guys are great. All this info from a single photo!! I think I’ll pick this up after all. Once I get it and clean it up a bit I’ll take more photos.
Well, I missed out on this one after all. Tried to pick it up today and he decided to hold onto it. If only I had the $40 yesterday I could have bought it.

$40? I hope you mean $40 more than whatever you had on you. I just bought a six gear transmission for $60 and thought it was a fairly good deal.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
Yeah. $40 straight up. Probably my fault too when I started asking if he had any other spare parts or hop ups to go with it. Got too greedy. I was buying a Rustler roller from him too, so I was trying to work the bundle deal angle.
While looking at parts for my restoration I am trying to figure out the different model numbers. I know mine is a B stamp but in lookign for parts I see there are several different B's? I have seen parts for a B3 and B6 what's the difference and how...

I think you mentioned in your presentation thread that you would like to upgrade to bearings on your car. That would be a wise move.
But figuring out what bearings to buy isn't so easy.
I just checked on the Avid web site ( and they don't carry a...
I have learned recently there were different versions of this car. Just wondering what version I have got here. It has a KO Propo with old school ESC mated with a brushed Twister motor. The car is really slow compared to what I remember them being....

Looks nice!!! I like to see these old cars revived.
Did you try the new battery in it yet?
Did you fix the 6 gear issue?
I love seeing these restored too. I got an original edinger box for it so I can store it when I am done playing with it. Now...

Hello, I am new to the site but not new to the rc10. I recently had some time to clean up some of my old rc10's and I wanted to get my dads done to bring him back to the good old days lol. Anyway I asked him who the parts were made by but he can not...

Link on this site to the instruction manual for this MIP kit. I was out of RC in early 85 so I missed this.
Hello everyone. I've been around hear for a long time now. Always hanging out in the On-road section building RC10L's. Today I purchased this awesome gem from a well know guy in RC named Bill Oxidean. My new buddy :D I would like to have a period...

Traxxas Bullet. We don't do the antiques roadshow thing here, so for values check eBay
One thing I will say, the roll bar part of the body is the hardest part to locate on a bullet
I believe I was told it is a AGI Jammer, JRX conversion. I can't find any info on AGI Jammer, JRX conversion.
Does anyone know what is is. Thanks

That's a pretty rare conversion of a fairly competitive chassis back in the day...the Lucas Agitator Pro 10 chassis that was modded to fuse with an RC10 pan car chassis. Jeff (gomachV) has good info on this chassis. I might be a bit off on the...
