Thanks Dadio! They are officially called "PRETTY PUNY SISSY LITTLE WIMPY MOTOR" They are fairly obscure and I believe originated as part of GONZO batteries. I think both from Indiana, but I'm not sure. They were relatively popular at the track I grew up on for a period because the proprietor sponsored a hand-out race at our track. they were all silver cans though, so when i saw the green on ebay, I had to have it!

I like your entry too. A couple of weeks ago we spent the week in a beach condo near Fudpucker's restaurant/alligator farm and ate there a couple of times. I think you'd approve!

Thumbs, curious about how long ago did you score the green Wimpy on ebay?
Had my first venture at Fudpucker's in Destin last July while on a fam-bam vacation. I approve! Rented one of those big-ace 3-story houses for a week.

Just checked, that's the motor I was thinking of, he still has the one left for sale. That's the same guy I posted about his pink label Trinity Monster horsepower motor I thought was suspicious, see link: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=46075&p=522367#p522367. And Mach mentioned the guy was part of a crew who was passing off shady relabeled motors, so I strayed away.
Edit: Just to be clear. I honestly have no idea if that specific Wimpy motor is a fake or not, so that's not what I'm trying to imply.

Oh yeah, I saw that now that you mention it. I didn't realize that. I appreciate you letting me know. I'm not too concerned since it doesn't really have any true sentimental value. I just thought it looked cool. It is really powerful for a stock too, so if I did want high performance I'd be happy. I paid well under what is being asked. I would still be irritated if I knew for sure it was a fake. I definitely don't want to support that. I don't plan to investigate though.
