Novak Duster motor limit with 4 cells
I bought a vintage Novak Duster ESC which is rated at 250A. I read that it can handle 14t motors at 7.2V.
What does it change if I use it at 4.8V? Can I use a lower turn motor in this configuration (let's say 12t)?

The turn limits are more like suggestions. If your application doesn't require a lot of amperage, it will be fine.
On the other hand, a high load application (like a heavy truck) may not be able to use near as hot of a motor without overheating the esc.

It's for a 1/12 on-road car.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 5:45 am The turn limits are more like suggestions. If your application doesn't require a lot of amperage, it will be fine.

I can't see that being a high load application. I suspect that it would be fine.

Juicedcoupe is absolutely right, turn limits are suggestions, I would even say meaningless. Since there are so many factor involved: 4WD vs 2WD; high grip vs low grip; Battery capacity vs gearing; ambient temperature etc etc...
For a 1/12th car you will have no problem
