My Ultimate Racer Pro SE
I am in the mist of a bunch of Losi's right now. This is the latest and greatest and was the worst of the bunch to complete (it really isn't done right now, for the moment I am tired of messing with it). A lot of trial and error fitment on this one in finding the right parts to work. I like to think of this one as the one I would have built to go racin! The short list:
- Rare Purple Motor Plate
- 2.19 Retro Trans
- XX CVDs
- CC Pro SE Chassis
- Tecna Titan Hinge Pins
- Tecna Turnbuckles
- RRP Ball Ends
- MIP Gold Shafts
- HG Clear Shock Bodies
- BB Steering
- MIP Steering Bar
I wouldn't mind finding some of those alum shock bottoms (not sure who made them). Also couldn't really think of what to do about shock collars.

Re: My Ultimate Racer Pro SE
Nice build. I have not been into the molded chassis cars much myself as they came out as I was getting out of the hobby for a while, but this kinda Makes me wish I had gotten the CC pro-se chassis when I had the chance.
I've never had a retro trans, does it bolt right up to a standard motor plate or did you have to drill/tap holes for it?

Re: My Ultimate Racer Pro SE
Anthony, I actually have the entire rear end assembly spaced upward about 1/16 of an inch to make up for the depression you are supposed to cut out of the chassis for the trans. It does bolt up to the standard plate, actually from in the inside of the box for the two lower holes. The top two are standard, but you have to use a shorter screw on the rear upper hole.
Rick, I don't drive anything I have. Also there were two additonal colors of plates made, yellow and purple. They are just hard to find.

Anthony, here is a shot from the inside of a 2.61 box. Note the two 4-40 screws.... like I said the lower two go in from the inside, all four line up to the standard holes in the plate.

Re: My Ultimate Racer Pro SE
Oh, I need to install the RPM rear cover as well. I have a black one, but would love to find a white one.... I think a white would go good with the other white parts on the car. I thought I had one, but must be thinking of one for a RC10.
When I get done with all my Losi builds, I will do a group shot (minus one as I already sold a SE to Daceloi (spelling?)). Should be another week or so depending on how work goes this week.

Re: My Ultimate Racer Pro SE
Thanks Scr8p..... didn't I read from one of Antony's post that someone made aluminum shock cartridges? MIP or something? That is really what I am after. I thougth about the cups and clamps, but not sure a racer would choose to go with those due to the weight.
Wait til you guys see my all out X2 coming up next! (I really need to find a set of the RRP rear 5 link arms for that one).

Also, anyone have a set of the RRP rear arms (5link?)...... I know, I know it should be in the BST area.

Re: My Ultimate Racer Pro SE
Thanks for the great photos Jay!
Gotta post up one of the yellow motor plates too sometime. I've never seen one.(butI can imagine what it looks like)
MIP made blue anodized shock cartriges, but they would probably clash with the purple plate
MC-200 for the shock cartridges complete with seals/hardware and MC-50 for the rebuild kit. I think each is enough for 2 shocks.
I have them on my jrx-T http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1143&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=15
It's been almost a year since I updated that one, I gotta find more goodies for it.
