That one's painfully accurate.....

Probably would have had more clout if I'd said I had finished a Daytona... :P

Just a quick update to the world's longest-running no-action thread.... got these beauties back from the RJ / @RC10th workshop.
Irvines.jpg
One is all shiny and new, after having had a full once-over and rebuild, and the other has some issues, so will be consigned to the spare parts bin - even though it's still far cleaner than most of my stash of Irvine engines!

The good one will most likely go into the first Daytona, in order to bring that closer to completion. So, probably only another few years.... :P

Seriously though, I'm hoping to complete at least one chassis to have it on display at the Vintage Bash at the start of November... so this engine work will help immensely - one less (major) job to do!

All RJ's work, not mine, so shouldn't be as shocking as me getting something done on this project... :P

So!
Been hiding in the shadows for way to long. It's time to join the party. The Schumacher Daytona has been a dream car since the age of around 12.
Firstly, love this Thread/car/project, have been watching it unfold for years. Always looking forward to any updates. The 15R's looking great (like everything else). Would love to see a bench test maybe you could post something on the tube?
I also have a (Tired) Daytona project (been in a box for way to long) and have every intention of getting it back on track. It's almost impossible to find any information on this rare beauty, so this thread has been a life line to me.
Once ii figure out how to drop some photos i will add some tidbits.
Stay awesome, yo!

In all honesty you'll probably finish yours before Alex does......

Well don’t be so sure, my projects around six years in the making. In that time, I think I’ve managed to source around five or six parts. Oh, and remove it from the box which happened last weekend  I really enjoy the pace of this project keeps me wondering what will be. One thing for sure, it’s getting done right! Unlike like my red neck dingle ball project

GTFOH! For real? Ah, I'm just being a heel. That's great news. Long time coming though, as I understand.
Hope you're doin' something fun.
