My beloved Porsche 959
I got this a couple of years ago, it was apparently built for Toy traders in Sydney back in 85 for a hobby show. It was run a few times at the show then put in the box. Until now. I got the box, manual, second set of wheels with slick tyres, preiod radio gear, spares etc. The body has a few small tiny cracks & the paint is peeling off in a few places so in time I will strip it & repaint it. The decals are all perfect except for the red & gold stripes which seem to have perished a little. The chassis is brand new.
I've only driven it a few times in anger, it needs the smoothest possible surface to really enjoy it.
Hard Packed sand at the beach is best. I'm still debating wether or not I should paint the wheels white, I have no idea why they Tamiya made them yellow?
Hope u like the pics

Re: My beloved Porsche 959
those are some cool action shots, I don't think I could pull mine from the shelf and do that. At least some one is having fun!

Great shots matey, reminds me of how I used to treat mine, back in the late 80s - early 90s.... back before they were collectable... back before I sold my two for $250
Keep up the great work!!!

How do the shocks keep up? I remember helping a friend with putting sonic fighter front shocks on his (the hydraulic ones)

Great looking car. What are you a professional photographer, those action shots are incredible. You are a braver man than I am, I'd never have the guts to drive such a nice 959 like that.

The shocks are fine, but not for really rough stuff.
I'm not the photographer, my 8 year old son is. He's one of these "genius" children, excels at everything he puts his mind toward, but still can't tie his own shoelaces.......
regards

I used mine quite a bit at my local off-road track, but actually most of the time mine was run on the street, at night in the pouring rain with the lights on - great big 4-wheel drifts across the street, looked awesome
