???? Worlds Buggy ???
Please be kind : Everyone who knows me, knows I am a diehard Losi guy but as my Losi collection is finished other than the bodys I am still waiting on, its done.
So I am starting a new chapter in my collection witch will be Associated, and I want a B2,B3,B4 I have a RC10T comming and a RC10 buggy on the way to grace my collection. I have a worlds manual as I flip through it I dont see much different than a regular RC10? what am I missing do I have the wrong book ? I picked these up on EBay a few months ago to start looking for parts?
What is a worlds car? I know it has a milled chassis? but what makes it so special?

Re: ???? Worlds Buggy ???
It's special because it is called a World's car......you Losi guys
Let me try:
Milled hard anodized black chassis
Graphite front & rear shock towers - World's design
Unobtanium material shock shafts
Aluminum screws in Stealth trans, front wheels and shock collars
Different rear hub carriers
Updated black material front & rear arms
Fiberglass batt strap
Turbo Mirage body
Neon yellow wheels & Pro-line tires - front 2pc
Rear bulkhead no ears
Graphite / carbon fiber trans mount
Hard anodized dark grey green shock bodies
World's steering bellcranks
Twin turbo
Supercharged
Cooler than any Losi car ever
What am I missing.....this is off the top of my head - no looking at a car or manual, so be nice....................

Re: ???? Worlds Buggy ???
Just having fun............................
Like you I had to bring in the enemy (strictly for comparison reasons) I have a couple early JRX2's, a JRXT, a Junior 2 and an XX plus parts and chassis' to build a few more.................and I kind of like them
But back in the late 80's and early 90's I raced with some guys that ran Losi's. Well let me correct that, I raced while they broke down and wrenched on their cars every other lap!
Nothing is stronger than a well built RC10

Ah that'd be it, been wondering for years now I finally know
Now if only I could figure out what 'the nature of this hobby' is..

Re: ???? Worlds Buggy ???
I am just getting back into the RC hobby but back around 15 years ago I was a die hard, racing every weekend. I started my career running the RC10T when everyone else was running Losi LXts. Then the XX buggy came out and everyone jumped on it and basically that is all that ran at our track... until I came alone went against the flow. I grabbed one of the first Worlds cars and smoked the XX field consistently
It was funny. All the Losi guys were jealous and would always come check out the RC10 and wonder how it was beating them. The Worlds car was so much fun to drive. I picked up a near-mint worlds recently minus the body. I might even race it..

From my experience it means "beat the snot out of it and don't expect too much from me for a waranty but its near perfect/mint IMHO"Bugle wrote: Now if only I could figure out what 'the nature of this hobby' is..

OR it just don't work and I'm tryin to make a buck off of it on ebay is the other way I've looked at it for slot cars in the past

Re: ???? Worlds Buggy ???
well thank you I do love my Losi's I will neve sell all of them but I do like the Assc. also so I will have both sitting side by side.klavy69 wrote:[And bearrickster deserves a congrats to coming over to the winning side. J/K...I like the losi 5 links and came close several times to owning one and just haven't done it yet. I have had several Losi vehicles in the past and deleted them all from my mess of a collection of stuff minus the mini-t s. Mostly because no one has run them locally for alot of years so the LHS doesn't stock any parts for them. I'm thinkin you're gonna like 'em...

Re: ???? Worlds Buggy ???
I used to race Losi's and RC10's, the original RC10 was a good match for the early Losi's, the losi's were probably even a bit better on average but the stealth boxed team car and worlds car were the fastest of the lot. And I agree it's great to have examples from both sides, they are both excellent
Re: ???? Worlds Buggy ???
lol yeah I was going to bid on a Mamba speedo and it says 'works fine' then puts in the 'due to the nature of this hobby' disclaimer and i'm thinking the nature of this hobby is to flog off broken stuff as working so I don't bid.klavy69 wrote:From my experience it means "beat the snot out of it and don't expect too much from me for a waranty but its near perfect/mint IMHO"Bugle wrote: Now if only I could figure out what 'the nature of this hobby' is..![]()
