MX-4 body options

Post by wts873 »

Well I have just about given up on finding a body on ebay  Does anybody know of a sutable replacement? The car is almost perfect, minus a couple screws and the batt. hold downs. I think I could cut new ones myself If I can find a good pattern.

I can draw you a template of the battery hold down. I'll see that tomorrow and if the son can stop getting crazy anytime I get close from a R/C car.

'later.

I'm gonna see if your 20% blue thunder works.

Btw, does the body feels like fragile after nitro treatment?

Hey thats cool, Seasaw. Did not think to look there.

That might save you some time wst873 and carbon fiber isn't the most pleasant material to work with. Retail price for the ZM-118GL (small battery hold down, left side) cost MSRP $15. They ask £18 for the right hand side b-h-d.

Otherwise, you can redraw this sketch and spend some times making your own. I wish I had more time to CAD it... . :?
If you go that way, let me know if you need some extra dimensions.

nb.: all dimensions in millimeter.

Thanks for the drawing! I think I'll try to make my own. I also want to make one that will hold stick packs, as that is what I mostly use. I also need some towers for another project and wan to make them out of the same material, so it should be cheaper all together. :)

I ve got the protech bodies for the yz-10 mrlexan did and was looking at fitting 1 on my mx-4.
It looks like it would work (even with the underbody if you're willing to cut 2 small sections in the rear of the chassis)
