Re: Grandson's new built runner
That's cool looking ride. Why would he want a Slash, for the RC10? LOL I always try to "Pay It Forward" just a good policy.

this one is one of my favorite's, just when you think your life is bad, someone has it worse. for some reason the format has been messed up for the last few days.

Don't laugh too hard, but it was a Futaba 3PM-FM. I just started in January, shelved and bought a Nomadio react.

Re: I have almost no desire to run an R/C Car!
I would have to say, that when I first started, I loved to run them till I had my fill (1-2hrs a day). Now the novelty has worn off and no one to race with, so I enjoy wrenching on them. You know, new Aluminum parts. I think it would have more interest in them if there where more people around me.

I don't know if it was here at RC10, but i started one over at thetoyz.com. I thought it might be of some help.

I have an old style on my Nomadio. My Futaba has the foam type on it. I haven't noticed a difference in using either, like them both.

Re: What Battery charger to buy
WOW! after reading some of the responses about Super Brains, i have come to the conclusion that i have the only good one they made. It is the 960, i did a fan MOD to it, to keep it cool and added a cig. lighter plug so i didn't have to raise the hood.

Re: Nylon sheet
try mcmaster carr. either nylon (6/6 is common) or delrin (acetal). probably 1/4" thick or 3/8" thick will be sufficient. very local to Philly area. Warehouse in central NJ, I order stuff and get it within 2 days. may not be the cheapest for small qty's, but easily the quickest and simple...

Re: VXL in RC10
i am new in the hobby, so i can't really give you any advice. what i can say is i put a Novak Havoc Sport in a B2 with 2s Lipo and it was over kill. had to dial back on the throttle, so i just put the Trinity 17T back in it.
