At first everyone who gets into RC wants to duplicate the box art. Then as with all things, people learn more about their hobby and want to take it up a notch. So the get a "Custom hand painted" body to show off at the track and to their racing buddies. It seems like another way to out do ...

Motion Graphics did a lot of the designs for racers in California. I ended up doing quite a few of them for racers who wanted to have them done locally after moving to Florida from Cali.

He did some nice work!

Lexan isn't very forgiving when it comes to repair or restoration. You can fix light scratches, but buffing doesn't work after heavy sanding, since Lexan reacts to heat from any serious sanding, or buffing. Basically, if you only want to fix it for display, you can glue from the inside and touch up ...

Back when it didn't matter and they were everywhere we used to drill them to mount switches, or to hang the wire connectors out the side. Some added nerf bars that were actually made my CRP and others to mount to the chassis. Req'd drilling. No different then someone peeling the birds off their Tran...
